COLORADO REPUBLICANS LAUD MASSACHUSETTS ELECTION OF SCOTT BROWN AS U.S. SENATOR AND REJECTION OF OBAMA/DEMOCRATIC AGENDA

DENVER - Colorado Republican Chairman Dick Wadhams released the following statement on the election tonight of Scott Brown to the U.S. Senate in Massachusetts:
"The most Democratic state in the nation has soundly rejected the failed agenda of President Obama and congressional Democrats tonight with the election of Republican Scott Brown to the United States Senate.  Senator-elect Brown campaigned on a clear agenda opposing the Obama health care monstrosity, the failed stimulus bill, and the 'cap and trade' national energy tax increase.  News reports indicate that even Democrat Martha Coakley's campaign blames the Obama health care vote on Christmas Eve for her drop in the polls and eventual defeat.  There is not a dime's worth of difference between Senator Michael Bennet and Mayor John Hickenlooper and the failed policies of President Obama that were rejected in Massachusetts tonight and they will be rejected in Colorado in November."
